No special charger is required for our "Tesla" style batteries. A lipo charger, capable of balancing is perfect for charging. lipo settings can be used, instead of the li-ion setting, and in fact is best for most li-ion 18650 type cells.

This is a custom option Specifically developed for the Anaconda airframe. After our review episode of the Anaconda, there were many requests for a flight duration test, but it didn't really seem to be the strong point of the Anaconda, due to a higher than optimal coefficient of drag, and less than ideal Aspect ratio for endurance flying. The Anaconda is a great affordable platform that works well for FPV sport flying, and with the advent of the long-awaited Sanyo NCR18650GA cells, It now makes sense to offer a better solution. Use of this pack enables the Anaconda to perform in the role, and take on a role for which it was not originally intended.
The development for this battery type is a response to the desires of some Gemini V-2 builders to fly larger payloads. Constructed from high energy density Sanyo NCR18650GA cells, this battery is 1.2kg lighter than the 60 cell version, but still has the same output for takeoff, and climb out when needed. The perfect solution for those missions lasting up to 2+hrs, when lower cost, or more carrying capacity is required. Using 2 of these packs in parallel is also an option, to extend flight time even beyond 4 hrs, however, payload capacity will be significantly reduced. If the payload is relatively light, this may be a good option. If you purchase 2 of these packs, they will come with a Y harness at no additional charge. Please specify parallel Y for 11.1v or series Y for 22.2.

Sometimes but not always, we have cells in stock. So, this item may take 2-3 weeks to ship. Packs are assembled by hand. Batteries come with 2 extra sets of XT-90 connectors. one for the plane, and one for the charger. Also a balance lead extension for in-plane charging.

We first developed this battery for our own use, and quickly realized that it was the best solution for Gemini V-2, and many other UAV's. We were using a 10 way Y connector to harness all of our LIPO batteries before, and had To charge them individually. It was a mess of cables, and when carrying all 5 of them, there was not much weight carrying ability left for payload.
Switching to this battery type saved us 2 lbs of weight, increasing the payload capacity. The power system drew less amps in flight to maintain altitude due to less weight!
With flight times up to 4+ hrs, We now just leave the battery in the airplane, and charge it in place, as there is just one connection for charger output, and one for a balance lead.
This is the new improved battery made with a rigid damage resistant frame, is thinner, and fits through the front hatch in the kit version of the aircraft. Machine welding makes it more practical to produce. Also better cross Ventilation for cooling of the individual cells! Higher voltage means improved efficiency due to less amp load on wires and ESC's.
Buyers will need to match the higher voltage with appropriate motors. One option is the DJI 4216 motors combined with 16 x 10(P) APC props. The original castle Edge ESC's can still be used with the higher voltage.
